Do you ever wonder what a good gift would be to give a fellow Naturalista for Christmas? Or perhaps you just want to treat yourself?
I was SO excited to have been asked to take part in this Essence.com feature talking about my top natural hair gift picks, alongside a number of my favourite bloggers including our very own Geri (yes, I'm claiming her now! She's "ours"!!!)
The good news for readers in Nigeria? A number of the items I chose, and some chosen by the other bloggers, will be available on the Kinky Apothecary shelves in time for Christmas, and the rest will follow soon after. Hurray!
So take a look through the gallery and start compiling your wishlist. There are some awesome suggestions on there.
(Photo was taken by my dear friend Trey Mujakporue. Check out some of his work here)
Good for you Nibi! I was going to comment on how your photography skills have improved but I saw the little note at the end :) I'm going to attempt a twisted updo, I really need to up my styling game...
ReplyDeleteThanks Daisy. Lol- yes sadly we didn't have time to do a proper shoot, just a couple of shots with my living room wall as a backdrop. But yes it was definitely nice to have my photo taken by someone who understands lighting and composition... oh and has a proper camera too (as opposed to my old beat up phone!)
DeletePS: Make sure you send in pics of the attempted twist updo!
your living room? wow, looks like studio. haha, will do but please remember I am still waiting for your natural hair salon, I will be first in line!
DeleteHey :o) I love the picture as well. Thanks again Nibi for listing Bobeam! I am still so excited.
ReplyDeleteMy pleasure always, Laquita! Can't wait for the rest of Nigeria to find out how amazing your shampoo bars are too!
DeleteThe cover picture is bea-ti fullllllllllllllllllllllllll
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!
DeleteVery Nice Nibi. I just saw came off the Urban Bush Babes blog and they were part of the Essence Magazine feature and i click on TKA and our "own" Nibi was featured too.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for the new products to "arrive"!
P.S: Is there any reason why The Apothecary does not stock AVJ ??
Lolol!! Thanks ChiChi
DeletePS: The Kinky Apothecary is adding a whole load of things to the stock list in the coming weeks. Will AVJ be one of them, I wonder? ;-)
Hmmm, we shall see about that soon, won't we?? Meanwhile please spill on the hair cut,6 inches *gasp!!*
DeleteStunning photo and congratulations are in order.
ReplyDeleteAww, thanks Tonkabelle
DeleteA big congratulations to you. I rarely rock my hair as is, don't know how to do twists or updos but determined to try. Since I discovered curl activator gel though, my combing process has been easy but I am going back to rocking my braids.

DeleteWoohoo! Very pleased to see you on Essence.com. I'm in awe of your hair and your styling skills. Since I'm too lazy to try most of your styles, I've content myself with just admiring yours.
