  1. Wow this is really good. I just started the one month fingerdetangling challenge and I must say, breakage is now past tense.
This is my first time on your blog and I'm impressed.
Gorgeous natural hair is possible in Nigeria. Ive been natural all my life and have had my fair share of sidements I.e side comments. I'm happy to see that things are changing.
BTW, am I the only one that notices a loosening of curl pattern as I get older?

    1. Hey Hadassah, thanks for dropping by. Let me know how that finger detangling challenge goes. I started exclusively finger detangling from the beginning of this year. Everyone has different experiences, but after a few months I realised this is not the best options for MY hair. Not removing all the sheds = Knot City for me, which in turn leads to splits. I'm now back to combs every other wash.

We'd love to hear your experiences of being natural in Nigeria. If you're interested in being featured, please drop us a line on kinky.apothecary@gmail.com.

  2. Hello, Lola says you are a fountain of natural info (and I can see it from your blog too, lol) so here I am.
I am almost 10 months natural and yet to do the BC as I am still transitioning. I carried braids for most of the year but in August I had my natural hair out for about 3 weeks. I used my regular products and ended up with breakouts on my shoulders and back after which I ran to get braids done again.
Can you please help with natural hair products I can use which won't cause me unnecessary discomfort especially in other parts of my body?
    Thank you so much

    Barbara
